My friend and I were recently discussing about technology, and how integrated it has become to our daily lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that debate we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as memory becomes cheaper, the possibility of uploading our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's one of the things I really wish I could see in my lifetime.

This is the blog of my trip to China. As the Curatorial Intern at The Scott Arboretum of Swarthmore College, I've been given a generous donation by an anonymous person to support my travels overseas. I've decided I will be going to the Botanic Gardens Conservation International Congress in Wuhan, China. This Congress will focus on the role of botanic gardens in building a sustainable future. The BGCI is the world's largest network for the protection of plant diversity. Please join me as I spend three weeks exploring and learning about the beauty and diversity of China!
